Activity 11: Which area of development communication practice would you like to specialize in? Why?
I prefer Educational communication. I give high value to continuous training and development not only for others but also for myself. Teaching is the most effective way of learning. Educational communication pertains to the whole process of learning. I have worked in the training department and I see how employees improve and become more productive when they apply the learning they acquire. I think it is the same with a community or society, educating the people is one of the key to achieve development goals. I would like to take part in teaching them the values, skills and technologies in order for them to understand and appreciate a certain development project and its benefits. I am also interested particularly to study how different people learn and what teaching methods are appropriate for them.
